It’s a difficult subject for those who love, appreciate, own or otherwise engage with horses in one capacity or another.
They’re beautiful, after all, but more than that, they are healers, friends, advocates and a host of other spectacular things that have led us to invite them into our lives because they are what they are.
The slaughter issue has haunted America since it’s inception. Horses were hunted into near extinction before the Wild Horse and Donkey Act came into existence — and now we face this same dilemma again.
